Jaguars lose Heart-Breaker in Overtime

After a huge win in London a week ago the Jacksonville Jaguars were ready to carry their momentum to New York as they faced the New York Jets. The Jets started the season out slowly with an 0-2 record before beating the Dolphins in week 3, and were considered one of the worst teams in the NFL. After a solid win against the dolphins they came home to face the 2-1 Jacksonville Jaguars.

1st Half

The game went back, and forth all the way to overtime. The first score of the day came from a 10 yard pass from Blake Bortles to Leonard Fournette putting Jacksonville ahead 7-0 with 8 minutes remaining in the 1st quarter.  13 seconds later Bilal Powell of the New York Jets rushed for 75 yards to even the score 7-7. Each team got one field goal to close out the first half with a tied score of 10-10.

 2nd Half

The 3rd quarter was all Jets starting with a 69 yard rush for Elijah McGuire, and a 26 yard field goal putting the Jets up 20-10 going into the 4th. In the fourth quarter it was all Jaguars with a 81 yard fumble recovery for a touchdown by defensive player Myles Jack, and later a 22 yard field goal to tie it up 20-20.

In Overtime the Jacksonville Jaguars started with the ball, but unfortunately were forced to punt after a 3 and out. The Jets took advantage of the situation, and finished the game with a walk-off 44 yard field goal to win the game 23-20.

The Jaguars have another game on the road against the 3-1 Pittsburgh Steelers next Sunday at 1pm. For more Sports News, and score analysis checkout our website
